Public finance in a fun way
Students often do not find topics like ‘public finance’ and ‘state budget’ particularly interesting. The goal of this project is to change that. As part of the project ‘Introduction and Development of Open Educational Resources within the Educational Process,’ we have prepared a website of the key features of both concepts in the simplest and most interactive way possible.
We hope that while exploring the website, you will gain as much useful, interesting, and even fun information as possible, in order to increase your interest in the field of public finance and budgetary funding. Below, you can enjoy comics about the budgetary procedure, test your knowledge of various aspects of public finance with the Beelionaire quiz, or explore the parallels between the organization of bees and public finance in Slovenia.
“Beekeeping in Slovenia, along with its traditions and care for the nature, symbolizes the balance between sustainability and economic growth, which is of vital importance in the process of managing the public finance as well.”
“The organizing of the bee hive, where every bee contributes to the survival, is similar to the efficient public finance management, where every department and citizen contributes to the stability and growth of the country. ”
"Bee products have versatile use, just as the versatile sources of revenue to the state budget provide support to the key social and economic policies."
"Similar to bees pollinating the plants and keeping the eco-systems alive, the state budget along with its balanced measures supports the economic stability and sustainability of the public finances."
